Camping in Ruidoso, NM

Our camping group is trying to plan a trip to Ruidoso, NM this summer. We all have travel trailers 26-30 in length. We prefer not to stay in a close, side-by-side setting, but rather more open if possible. I have looked at many websites in the Ruidoso area, but most resemble parking lots...not for us. Any suggestions???

Thanks

  • unfortunately not familiar with the area other than to say that seeing Sierra Blanca I really wanted to get out and hike to the top. Very pretty area, if I hadn't been on a 3 week, 5k mile whirlwind tour of 23 national parks and monuments I would have stopped for sure.

Exploring the area on Google maps I found an interesting site at
33.3873449, -105.7530434 perhaps you could contact the res to see if it's available?
  • Rent a "Group Site" at a National Forest campground. Usually around $75-100 per night for 10-15 rigs. Probably no hook-ups but you'll have the area to yourselves.
