I'm not a Truck Camper, but I have read on these forums that some campgrounds do not allow separation of Truck and Camper. In other words, you cannot take the camper off the truck and use it free-standing. Before you proceed, you probably should check with your campground first to make sure they have no "rule".
One would think "what's the big deal" because they park the camper at home, but I'm sure these parks have their reasons. Please check before proceeding.
About using your camper off the truck? If it works OK for you at home, you should have no problems in a campground. If your camper is off the truck at home, experiment while it is still in your driveway. Set it up exactly like you would at the campground, then test the water (literally).
I would think, if you can support the base of the camper on something solid, you should have no problems. Good luck!
