camping with friends

Yeah, I wouldn't sweat the wife coming around. We've had our ups and downs over the past year of being new TT owners. Plus our camper is only 18 ft long, fits our 4 only.
I always think back to this story about my folks. My mother demanded a pool in our backyard when I was 13. Now, I got some use out of it over the years and it was great for family parties. But, it was too late.
My dad cut down the woods that our house sits on. So putting a pool in meant loosing space he worked hard to clear 20 years before. But, he did it and it's a great pool with concrete all around.
I asked him once, don't you hate this thing? He said no, he enjoys the upkeep. I said, "WHAT"? He said, I like taking care of it. I like cleaning and maintaining all of it. He said he swam in it once a day usually and that was enough.
That's how I have seen my camper. I like the experience of it all. My wife couldn't care less about that part.
It's important to work out the friendly camping situation. We've all had terrible trips though, it's part of life.
