My favorite camping trip of every year is when 50 of my closest friends get together for a three night boondocking trip (one of them owns some land in the mountains near Taos, NM). Every family has their own camper or tent or they borrow a tent from someone. We spend almost all of our time outside. We rent a couple of porta-potties for those who do not have a bathroom in their camper. Each family (or maybe two families together) provides, prepares and cleans up after one meal for the whole group. The rest of the meals you just show up and eat. There is plenty of room for a volleyball game, horseshoes, or whatever. One family even brings a couple of horses mainly for the kids to ride. Did I mention this is my favorite trip of the year?
