We've camped with my bff and her family of 7 twice. That's camping with 7 kids between ages 12-4. It's fun! The big kids watch the little kids, I have a buddy to girl talk with, dh and her dh are really good friends, so we're all one big happy family. That being said though, they tent camp and we tt camp. We have 2 sites, she has her family stuff on their site, I have my family stuff on mine. They do their own b'fast and lunch, and we eat supper together. It's nice having an extra set of eyes on the kids too. We camp just my family of four, and just as a couple, but I think we have more fun with a group. I think it works b/c everybody has their own space and gear, so we aren't sharing space and stuff.
