Camping with TC off truck

I believe it may only apply to older TC's. When camping with my 94 Caribou I would be asked if I intended to leave the TC on the truck.
In my case I always leave it on the truck.
I did question 1 or 2 as to why and the response was they did not want to deal with an abandoned TC but also don't don't want to turn away the revenue.
I'm sure they would have no issue with a 2014 Artic Fox but a 20 year old TC is another story. Not saying the older TC's are junk. I still own my 94.
