Can someone identify this for me?

this is inside the lower pantry on a 2015 KZ Spree 250 BHS. I just don't know what it is. We previously owned a 24ft Hybrid and I do not remember seeing something like this..

    Vacuum break

Enlarge it so you can read it.
  • my old fashioned one leaks all the time when shut off, its an air break or some such of arrangement. lets me know it is working properly. I certainly wouldn't want that type inside.

  • Mine is 11 y/o and has never leaked but it's all brass. Maybe that makes a difference.

yep, my tank flushers worked just fine with out the inside one.

  • Test your black tank flusher and watch that valve. Ours is in the bathroom cabinet under the sink and was exactly that same black type. It leaked the first time I used the black tank flush and put water all over the floor. It got replaced under warranty with a clear plastic version that seems a little better quality.

I work with enough plumbing to understand what it was as soon as it leaked and really got a laugh out of the dealers reaction when I told them what happened. I got the canned answer "We're not sure what's going on....We've never seen that before!" LOL....really?....
