I'm of the camp that thinks getting the camper on the truck and towing what ever toys you want behind that is the simplest method. I do that with a Suzuki Samurai with a rack basket on the roof. I can throw a lot of stuff in and on top of that Samurai and within minutes of arriving at camp, be set up and ready to head out on an adventure. I even haul a kayak on top of the Samurai on occasion. I can think of no advantage to hauling the camper and Samurai on a 5th wheel trailer. Just to unload the Samurai, I'd need to jockey the trailer around before I park and when I do park I'm pretty sure the camper isn't going to be oriented in the direction I want. I usually park where my camper dining room window gets the view. Very easy with a pick up truck. Not an option with a 5th wheel where all you can do is back into the camp ground spot.
