I am amazed at how many people here badmouth any truck that cost over $30,000 but those actually buying flock to the most expensive trucks that they can find. Ford has to use higher rebates to move the XL trucks than the Limited. Ford is selling so many top end trucks that Ram and Chevy are joining the bandwagon. As for "In 2009 I found a sweet 2003 F350 Crew with an 8' bed for around $5k" I hate be the one to tell you you this but I doubt that Ford has any interest in building a truck to sell for $5,000.
