cannot fill water holding tank past 3/4

Recently purchased a 2013 Blackstone with a 70 gallon water tank, water spewed out of breather tube and inlet upon filling at about 3/4 full.Tried refilling at low low pressure still spewed.Brought it in for service and was told manufacturer did not have connections on top of the tank connected properly, warranty took care of it my problem now is at the 3/4 full mark water spews out of breather hose and cannot add any more.450 lbs of slosh is annoying not sure where to bring it now as the manufacturer is 250 miles away
  • Maybe it was the top of the loop, can't remember
Maybe google cyphon breaks, it works!
  • Get one of THESE . I use it to know exactly how much water I need for short trips. Don't want to haul too much or too little water for a weekend boondocker.
  • Here's an example of a vented loop

  • How are you filling your tank? Are you connecting a hose directly to it or using some sort of filler end?
  • The correct spelling is syphon. Cyphen won't bring up anything directly on google. But in the list of hints, you will find syphon.
  • So traveling with a half or 3/4 tank of water is ok?I had my hand's full going through some rolling mountain passes with 50 gallons in a 70 gallon tank.I installed a pair of anti-friction sway bar's since and went out once with I believe was about 60 gallons and experienced some sway on the freeway, pulled over and cranked up the tension on them. That seemed to stop it but was pondering the rest of the trip if I really needed to top it off.Dumped all the water on the trip back and the ride was fine.I have as much weight forward as I can but the water tank sits above the rear axle and stretches back where when full should put an additional 640 or so lbs.Next trip will stop at scale station to see where my balance is.
  • The fill tank inlet is your typical 1"3/4 where the hose just lay's inside not loose nor tight
  • Will sure try the water usage meter cheap way to know for sure how much water I actually have

Although "syphon" is a variant, you are likely to find many more search results using the more standard spelling "siphon"
