Cassette toilets tend to be the norm in Europe where there are fewer dump stations you can just drive up to and hook up a sewer hose. We've used a number of campgrounds where they may support sewer hoses for grey water, but disposal of toilet waste may be around the side of the bathroom block and therefore only accessible to people carrying cassettes.
