Question for the cassette users , can it be over filled or is there a safety device to prevent it , not just a gauge ?
Ours has a light that goes on when the level gets up to a certain height. Also, opening the flush gate as has been stated, will give you a good indication visually of where the effluent level is.
We never use our toilet sink except to carry the odd bottle of shampoo or soap that falls into it during rough road travel.
Our cassette dumping time including unlocking door, pulling out cassette, dumping cassette(10 seconds), replacing and locking door is 30 seconds if discharge tank opening is close by. Not bad for a portable black water holding tank that can last more than a week for the two of us( if we are carefull). And as a bonus, we got a lot more storage when the black water tank was deleted from the TC in construction.
