Question for the cassette users , can it be over filled or is there a safety device to prevent it , not just a gauge ?
The reason for the question was not to disparage cassette toilets in any way . I was just wondering IF for some reason it was used beyond it's capacity , filled to the point is stays in the bowl , is there any way to relieve it without removing the cassette . It could be quit a mess if you have to pull the tank at that point .
This situation has never happened to us although that doesn't,t mean it couldn't,t happen. We sometimes leave water in the bowl and it doesn't,t appear to disappear so the flush flap on our unit is fairly leak proof.
If the cassette was filled to over flow into the bowl, simply pull the cassette,( flush flap closed) replace with a container for drips while dumping, then switch cassette with container. Might be a few drops of effluent that has leaked through the flush flap while you switch containers but that can be wiped up easily with a cloth.
5 years and counting, never had to deal with an over flow situation.
