Kind of like when bankrupt K-MART bought bankrupt SEARS.
I remember when they announced this. I never understood how that was possible.
They convinced the bankruptcy court that buying Sears would get them back to profitability. Investors drank the Kool Aid and ponied up the $$. - RobertRyanExplorer

Oh the thought of Jeep being made by GM makes my skin crawl.
Yes. Next we'll hear that Jeeps are being built in Italy or another country. The horror. :)
Yes they will be. Jeeps with Pizza :) I think a smaller Jeep will be built on the Doblo structure. Still Jeeps built by IVECO would rival a Unimog in capability - RetiredbladeExplorer

Just saw an article on autoblog that Marchionne is talking to GM about a merger with Chrysler.
Please say it ain't so.
Besides, wouldn't this end up being an anti-trust violation with GM/Chrysler merged?
He has been trying to find someone to buy him out. A few months ago. GM would not touch it. Is it a new article, or old?
Big question is. WHY???? would GM want it?
Sounds like.a merger of troubled companies. Marchionnes, Truck and Agricultural business is doing well, but Fiat and Chysler, need a bigger player to make them viable. GM is a bad choice - TerryallanExplorer II
