Go for one ton not 3/4 you will never regret it. And if you plan to go west to the mountain states get the 6.7L

What's your load in the truck? Weight of occupants? Cargo? Is that 2,350 from the specs or the load sticker on the door jam?My guess is that you will be well within any ratings, but we can't tell for sure without more info on your overall load.

I am definitely going F-350 with the new truck.....not even a question in my mind....for the little cost to go to the 1 ton, it is worth it.2,350 payload is from the yellow door jamb sticker. Occupants are approx. 800 lbs total. Throw in some fire wood and a small grill in the bed and that's about it.We stay east of the Mississippi (Only been camping in 10 states). Go up to the Adirondacks once a summer. Mostly stay within 3-4 hours of home.

Yes, provided your people and stuff in the truck plus the TT tongue weight are under payload.

Looks is just surface or a facade

A 16 lb sledge looks like an 8 lb sledge...a 12 oz hammer looks like a 16 oz hammer, but there is a huge difference

Ditto 2 tires from same OEM, same model, same tread, same size...but one is a passenger class and other higher class LT. Very different...costs more, weighs more, better construction, etc

I don’t buy the heavier is better hype at all. Only way to know is to compare them side by side. Lighter doesn’t always mean less or weaker. I have a friend with the exact same layout tt as mine from another manufacturer. We compared them. To start, his is 1100lbs heavier from the factory.

My lighter tt has heavier rated axles and higher load rated tires. Mine has heavier duty slide gear. Mine has a bigger a/c. Mine has aluminum framing everywhere vs his wood framing. I have solid wood cabinet doors where his are heavy laminated MDF. We both agreed that the quality and fit and finish of mine was better and it’s been aging better too.
