Check the Roof on Your New TT

I got home today and got a list of problems from the DW. One of them was the TT. Since we'll leaving Friday after work for the Oregon coast and a rockhounding Pow Wow, the bathtub with water in it wasn't happy news. The TT was six weeks past one year old. When they built it, they had over tightened the screws holding the Plexiglas skylight and it cracked there. Had I gone up checked the roof, it might not have gotten wet over winter. Now I've got to hope for a hot dry summer to dry her out.

I was going to etnabond it next summer when I'm retired.

  • Just got back from the dealers putting a deposit on a new TT, it will be the end of next week before I can pick up because of work. The roof was one area I did not check when I was looking it over, don't know why not?, and it has a rear ladder. You can bet, when we go to sign the papers, and do the orintation my _ _ _ will be up on the ladder checking.
  • I would say "no", the method they used, it's pretty tricky to get the bottom sealant dry enough to cushion, but not so dry as to not seal. In this case they waited too long, and over tightened. If I have a problem with warranty, you can be sure I'll post both the pictures and response, and of course the name.
