Good one. and this revised advert not only captures how GM employees are feeling, but also a significant segment of their customers.
I've had mostly GM products since 1968. In the stable right now are a 2007 Buick LaCrosse and 2015 Chevy Impala...both bought new. I don't what our next vehicle will be. At this point with 20 new models..all EV and being introduced by GM by 2023, and probably none of them sedans, probably not GM. Probably not Ford either...same deal there..no sedans or Chrysler for that matter...their sedans are going too.
I have invariably bought North American made vehicles...American or Canadian made vehicles. But it's like the former Big 3 have left me and many others. My wife doesn't want a pickup, I don't want an SUV, we like sedans.
Have a feeling the next vehicle will probably have to be something like a Honda Accord sedan.
I bet the import manufacturers can't believe their luck with GM/Ford/Chrysler essentially ceding yet another market to the competition.
Our 2015 Impala...the newer platform, developed by Opel has been a wonderful vehicle. Top rated by many...even Consumer Reports...unbelievably...but GM does the same thing over and over again. They don't advertise some models, like the new Impala and they let some really good models just wither on the vine and die.
I can't understand the thinking and philosophy of the CEO's of these three companies.
Well, I think the Big 3 have finally beaten me into submission...I give up and will probably end up with the competition...even though I've been a strong supporter of North American makes for over 50 years.
But, if they don't make what I need...what you gonna do ?
