Can't answer anything related to the reliability, but personally, I never buy the first year of any new major part of a vehicle or an all new vehicle. Inevitably, there bugs that have to be worked out and I don't like paying to be the tester.
That said, it seems to be getting good reviews and I haven't seen a lot of complaints.
