It's a diesel, holds 2.5 gallons of oil. Bought this truck at about 500k for my dad. We are both pulling campers outta factories in Indiana. Owned a 2010 that I sold at 853,500 to the the transport company I work for. It's still pulling campers factory lot to company lot. I did a maintenance log on the 2010 online.
2010 Maintance log Oil changes are typically done over 10k. Oil sampling this 2013 runs cleaner than the 10 did. I went 20k on last oil change. Do have to add a quart at 15000. I'm gonna go to 25k on this oil and send sample out to lab.
This truck has had full emmisson replaced at around 500k. I changed both rear wheel seals. Fuel injection pump was replaced just before 600k.
Tires, I don't rotate by mileage. I rotated by wear. Most tires dad and I run are factory takeoff tires, bought cheap from people changing from OEM. Multiple sets of tires and wheels. Run worn tires till first sign of snow. Using the truck commercially legally can run tire
tread depth too 4/32nds in front and 2/32nds in rear. Law is written for a semi truck. I prefer to run more depth in rear. Best tires that I run for pulling are Bridgestone Duravis R500s. They have to be ordered. Those I can push near last close to 200k miles. Bridgestone still doesn't have these available for 18” wheels. Tried contacting Bridgestone online to see if 18” will ever be available got no response.
