I believe the local delivery trucks are gas or propane.
Every UPS truck I see around here sounds like a 12v Cummins under the dog house. I think city buses, garbage trucks, fire trucks, amberlampses, construction equipment and dump trucks are pretty much diesel.
Our local power company has been putting gas powered medium duty utility trucks in their fleet for a few years now. Probably due to the problems spelled out here. I wouldn't want a truck that requires a 30-60 minute interstate ride to nowhere once a week just so it will run right. Corporate bean counters definitely don't want it. That would easily eat up the small difference in fuel mileage. Extra wear on tires, shocks and everything else. And drive it like you stole it? I prefer to drive normally with the flow of traffic. I enjoyed my diesels when I had them but, I don't miss them.
