Did that on my Sunline. Don't have any mouse hole on this trailer. It has a marine-style connector.
Teach - jimw606ExplorerWhen I had a Fifth wheel, I ran a wire out through the Mouse hole.Male plug on the end I pulled outside. The other end was attached to a 110v wall plug I installed. Heavy extension cord to the 20 amp plug on the box.
I usually ran a heater off of this one, but have used 2 heaters, with one on the 30 amp circuit. - _tiredTeacherExplorer II

Just got back from Home Despot and switched out the single plug outlet (for the water heater) in the service bay with a dual plug. Now I can plug in a trouble light and hang it near the water filter and shut the bay door.
Put a 60 watt light bulb by the them no worries
It probably won't get cold enough for long enough to be a problem, but this will give my DW peace of mind.
Now, to hijack my own thread - has anyone run an extension cord into his trailer by slipping it past the slide seals? My Sunline's power cord stored under the sofa so i was able to run an extension out through the power cord's mouse hole. I have no other way now to get a cord inside other than through an outside gear door, under a dinette seat and out the inside access door. That would be a big air leak.
Teach - dadmomhExplorerDitto on the light bulb. We used that in the bilge of our boat until it was lifted out of the water for the winter. Never had a problem. Definitely remember to disconnect the water hose before retiring for the night and open the cabinet doors under the kitchen sink and bathroom vanity. You should be fine. Enjoy!

We're camping for New Year's and my new TT has an on-board water filter, housed in a outside storage compartment, along with the water pump and HW heater. Is this filter in danger of freezing if the temps are mid-40s over upper 20s?
My RV has the same setup as yours. We have camped in temperatures just below freezing for a few hours so far and there was no problem. I typically disconnect the FW hose when I know it is expected to be lower than freezing overnight and use the on board FW tank.
As others have suggested you will want to consider heating that storage compartment. I have a small electric heater that l intend to use on its lowest setting but the (quiet) light bulb solution also is a good one, especially since the compartment is just below my bed. Going camping when the weather is in the 20's might be a tall order, though. - dave17352ExplorerPut a 60 watt light bulb by the them no worries

- Racine96ExplorerYou should be fine as long as the temperature goes up during the day to 40s. I would be more concerned about how unpleasant might be camping when in gets too cold. These TT are not meant for cold weather. My 2 cents.
- ScottGNomadThe temps would have to be 32 or below to freeze - and for some time at that. Can you just put a light bulb next to the housing? That would keep it from freezing.
- Dick_BExplorerYou can let the water drip a little if it gets down below freezing...
