Install the fan kit by all means, it does make a difference. You still won't be the quietest kid on the block, but you won't sound like a jet engine.
FYI, I dumped the Mach 8 9,000. I was running it with my Honda 2000, but got tired of the noise, carrying gas and the 9000 just didn't have enough power to cool my TC down in the southern deserts.
I decided that IF I needed to run the AC I would pull into an RV park. So I sold the 9000, installed the Mach 8 15,000 and I can chill beers on the kitchen table.
Everything is a trade-off....I decided I wanted COLD quiet air...
I run a solar charging system so after upgrading the AC I no longer carry the Honda/gas around with me.
