I bought a new mach 8 for my old TC about 3 months ago, and tried 3 different 1600/2000 generators and not one would start it. I called coleman and they said ever since they had to change to the new coolant a few years back they do not make an ac unit that can start on 2000 watts. I just bought a new adventurer camper and it has a mach 1 PS 11k, and same thing, it will not start on a 2000. I did get the new unit to fire and run on a 2500watt generator. I even added a hard start cap, and it still will not fire on my 2000. My buddy has an older mach 1 PS, and it runs no problem.
