I agree... HG failures on the 6.4 are not very common, but a leaking lower EGR cooler can bend a rod. Need to get it to a shop asap if that's the issue. Seen a many 6.4 in the black box due to owner driving their trucks with a leaking EGR cooler.
This. If the truck seems hard to crank in the morning STOP! Even then it may be too late. As fish pointed out, it could hydraulic and bend the rod.
