You can get a pop up with a toilet and shower... just saying.
The only Pop up I have seen with a toilet has the toilet waste going into a container i would have to physically remove and then empty, not something i'd want to do and the idea of sleeping next to a container with human waste in it was a turn off. A pop up toilet emptying with hose to campground sewer might sway the wife into agreeing, if they were available and towable. I haven't brought this up to DW and didn't research pop ups after her initial reaction about the "tent toilet".
If you're concerned about sleeping near it, I'm not sure a non popup will help you. They still have holding tanks on board. While you can hook up the sewer hose if you have full hookups, it's not a good idea to leave the valve open. It's better to let the tank get full (including plenty of water) and then drain it.
Must be my misunderstanding of how the popup toilets work then. I figured it was basically like a porta-potti. Where you know it's there because you can smell it the whole time kind of thing. Perhaps it isn't like that, as I said, I did minimal pop up research when DW seemed unlikely to go for it.
