Good morning. I am not a believer in considering GVWR of a trailer into anything. GVW maybe but not GVWR. The R stands for rating. The bigger the better. If you have 2 X 4000 pound trailers. One has a GVWR of 5000 and the other has a GVWR of 6000, all things being equal which one do you want? The one with the HIGHER RATING of course. Generally this means better axles, brakes, maybe suspension, who knows but whatever it is, it has a higher rating. The trailers weigh the same so....
