Confused about dealer response to order inquiry

Dealer should have shown more interest if they wanted my business. How difficult would it have been to send this:

Thank you for your interest in our Ford product. We are not available for the JULY 4th holiday but will be happy to work with you when we return. Hope your holiday is pleasant and look forward to talking to you soon.

I would send emails to every dealer anywhere near me and see who might be interested in working with me. Biscuit had a pretty good idea too.
