I have only used the internet to purchase one vehicle. I had filled out a form that was then sent to several area dealerships. Well, I received a call from one dealership asking how my dealings went with the Internet Salesperson. There was a slight gasp from their end when I said that I had never heard from anyone from the dealership, it had been at least a week since I had sent in my request and had for the most part decided to stay with what I had but decided to give them a shot when the caller asked if it would be ok for their "Internet Sales Manager" to call me. Long story short I purchased from this dealership (it was one of the easiest deals that I have ever had in my almost 30 years of new car purchases. I h=also sent more than a couple of people to this dealership as they were very professional to deal with.
As was said, if a Dealership does not want to deal with people over the internet they may very well be losing out on a lot of sales.
