Yes but the nice thing about lower ground clearance is less wind resistance while towing. I do not have that Jayco model but do have a Jayco 25E and like it a lot. As for the brand I am a Jayco fan. But I have heard good things about the ROO's

try looking for the Flagstaff Shamrock 233S, the twin to the Roo 233S.
hard to believe that you can't find either the Roo or Shamrock version of the 233S, somewhere nearby.

We are planning to use this for short camping excursions on the weekends. After lots of looking online I am liking the 2014 Rockwood roo 233s as the u shaped dinette is a big plus. I have again been unable to locate a model to view in person. Very frustrating.

Need one of those 4 bunk rear twin bed equipped 32 to 34ft bunkhouse tt. Downsizing to a 3 bed, plus kids on the couch/dinette will get old quick in a 18 to 23ft HTT.

Campers, and tow vehicles are not designed for 8. Hopefully you have dmax 15 passenger van or the like. No burb, or old school excursion will do.

Excuse my lack of knowledge , how does the clearance compare in comparison to similar models?

Take a look at where you're camping and at the ground clearance of the J feather. Make sure you can live with the clearance.
