KBB can say whatever they want to. Most dealers rely on what vehicles are selling for through the auctions.If its a really nice trade they will put more in the trade. A Gm dealer will give you more for a GM than a ford dealer will same works the other way. I have never seen KBB write a check for a trade in. There has to be give and take on both sides. You cant expect to buy a truck super cheap and then get top dollar for your trade. If you think that KBB is out of line then look at NADA they are much higher and they still dont have to write the check for what they are saying vehicles are worth. Find a dealer and salesperson that you trust and work out the best deal you can. With the big rebates that all manufactures are running that it depresses trade values. You always have the option to sell it yourself.
