This sounds like it must be a private campground, and just a captive-market measure.
I'd go with the presto logs- one will burn for two or three hours. A cubic foot of presto logs is probably around six- plenty for two nights. Hot tip from here at Camp Cheapskate :If you go to a farm store where they sell them unwrapped they're much cheaper than grocery-store prices.
And for cooking over the fire: Bring a bag of briquets- they're easier to cook over than wood anyway!
