$8 is cheap compared to the costs involved in cutting and disposing of trees infested with the insects. We stayed a couple of years ago at a KOA in NO IN and they had very few trees left after the emerald borers came through. The owner told us they had spent $25,000 getting all the trees removed and were paying still more getting the remaining ones treated. Don't think I'd complain about $8. So you use Dura Logs, buy some $8 wood, which should get you a nice 1-night fire, or just don't have a fire. Highly recommend folks take this seriously and don't try to cheat and take some in anyway. When you go back the next time, there may not be nearly as many wonderful trees.
Also, agree with Johno02 on cutting and splitting. Not an easy job!
