cubic foot of wood? how big is this? damn restrictions

local campground that I want to checkout next weekend put a full ban on bringing in firewood..they force you to buy there wood which is $8.00 for a cubic foot..any idea how much this is? im in upstate...

I couldn't enjoy myself at a campground that imposes rules and then charges excessively to comply if you want to enjoy the basics of camping. It's great that they want to (I'm guessing) keep the ash borer beetle at bay, but to charge excessively for firewood is taking advantage of both the situation and the guest. I'd camp elsewhere.
