Ok.. Just this past weekend the campground we stayed at sold sacks of firewood (no wood allowed brought in WDNR rules). They were selling what is labled as seasoned hardwood firewood .8 CU ft. and were selling that for 7.50 plus tax. The same exact sacks of wood are for sale at a gas station convience store about 8 miles away, for $4.99. So how much wood is .8 cu.ft you ask? It was 4 decent sized pieces of wood! So, at the gas station it came out to about $1.25 PER piece of wood! At the campground, that same wood comes out to........... ready?......... $1.88 PER piece of firewood! Oh, yeah... PLUS sales tax!
