I don't think anyone is complaining about buying firewood. But nobody wants to be gouged by profiteering.
Here is a good example of SMART people: Hills Creek SP in PA offers a "stack" of firewood delivered to your site for $21, IIRC. (Last summer).
Came out to about $5 per day, not for an hour or two of wood. We burnt a fire in the eve and into the dark, with the occasional daytime short fire for cooking.
That's very fair. I spoke to the woman who provided the firewood- she cuts, splits, etc herself. I think she was a leasing vendor of the concession stand (?) She was very happy with her prices and so were we.
Bottom line? Charge us fairly and you'll get our happy patronage. But be fair, please. ;)
