I certainly understand the bug problem, but don't agree with the high prices for bundled wood. I mean think about it? I was at Home Depot yesterday to buy a 2x8. For the price that some of these campgrounds are charging for the 6 or so little split pieces of fire wood, I could but twice the weight in new lumber.
A campfire is such a part of camping for families and to use a rule to over charge is gouging.
It's easy to say 'so what, pay the extra if you want a fire'. But I don't think people would be saying the same thing if all the nearby gas stations charged 50% more for gas or if the store sold Ice for $8 a bag, etc, etc.
