When all of us super-rich RV park owners gather we always repeat Gordon Gekko's mantra "GREED is Good, GREED works." It is what we base our entire business plan on, sucking the last dollar out of a poor, defenseless campers pocket. And firewood is definitely the place to do it.
I couldn't find any that said, "Who cares what customers want, there will always be others" :R
Or another classic: "A fool and his money are soon parted"
And there is: "Sell to the masses, live with the classes"
And of course there are countless examinations of economics where it is always shown that the definition of a fair price is where the supply and demand curves cross. And ask any MBA and they will be able to go into great detail about how a successful business should fire their lowest performing customers and concentrate their efforts on keeping their highest performing and elevating the average performing to high performing. They will tell you that the lowest performing customers actually cost company money. That pleasing everyone is not a realistic or even a good goal. If the only way a park can satisfy a customer is to sell cheap firewood, then maybe that is a customer the park will be better served by not having.
