The price is $466 for the equilizer and $378 for the Curt so there is not a big difference and I'm not using price to base my decision . I have heard nothing but good about the equilizer and the Curt seems to be the similar concept with 3 improvements. Easier angle adjustments, the ball bearing/detent system and a ball I don't need a special socket to torque it. If the hitch really doesn't work as advertised I'll just get an equalizer, but I figured I might as well check out this new hitch and base my decision from real world reviews
