It would be nice if the interior lights had dimmers.

I would like it if there was a 4th light switch on the dinette next to the exterior light switches near the entry that was a on/off for all the interior lights. Then I could turn on the interior lights I left on before I entered the camper or I could flip off the interior lights that the DW left on without crawling back inside.

I would pay more for a better mattress option upgrade from the factory.

Newer campers are all LED. To dim requires a PWM controller for each light and those are not cheap. I suppose a louver system over a light would work, but would probably break about the third trip out. There are two LED lights over the dining table that dim. They look like those lights you get in an airplane; a socket that pivots. I too wish for that! In the meantime, I installed a motion detection light just inside the door. I wave my hand over it and it lights up the floor so I can see to get in. Also, a COSTCO 2" memory foam mattress topper makes my stock Lance mattress the most comfortable bed I have! Under $100.

That's the beauty of the DIY and modification trend.If you're really ticked, send a snail mail letter to Lance and you'll get a response about your concerns. That also goes for Northwoods, Jayco, Forest River, Winnebago, etc etc.My 2015 TT has a dimmer switch over the slideout dinette, which is great.I think that Lance listened to their customer base during the big 2015 model changeover. I can see it in the newer 2015 models, and I have a 2015 model but it is the standard Lance diamond plate front one. The made some major changes (that I'm not too sold on frankly) that the consumer wanted.I think a well intentioned, non accusatory old fashioned USPS letter to Lance (or any other manufacturer) goes a LONG WAYAnd not to defend Lance, but they have made approx. 300 travel trailers since last September, that isn't exactly cranking them out imo. Have you ever seen that Lance Camper Factory Tour video available on YouTube? They are very well made trailers. I'd have kept my Arctic Fox but not enough room (no slideout) but that trailer had some major flaws (un user friendly stuff)Hell, I would have still been in the Minnie Winnie if I hadn't fried the damn thing Hahaha!

The eBay units are for strip lights, the others are for LED bulbs. Completely different applications and requirements.

The issue here is the Honda unit you mentioned is not designed and or recommended to be operated in an enclosed location. I suspect if Honda had a product designed for use, as the Onan has been, many manufacturers would provide this alternative, as well.

As for the mattress, I ordered my camper with the mattress deleted. I then just used one of the Queen mattresses from my home.

Yes, the LED lights can be bright but using lower Lumen ones makes a big difference. But then some would have issues the lights are not bright enough. I prefer using a task light, for reading and background light. I like using the fume hood LED light for a light just to have on. But from watching others turn on every light in their home and then bring that habit camping too, I understand why that could be an issue for some.

Personally I enjoy doing more of these things myself so as not to increase the price of my truck camper. As more manufacturers begin supplying some of these optional and vanity items it only increases the unit cost. Just it once was common to order a car without a radio or air-conditioner as the radio would save $40 in the delete.

On our 2015 1050S there all LED's on the interior,we also have the dimmer over the table. But no switch by the door either for the interior lights! How stupid!m its actually dangerous IMO. My 93 Lance had a interior switch by the door!
The Wife picked up a LED light set with a wireless remote that can be vellcrowed ? to the wall by the other switches. I just put the lights on top of the rear window valance. Works great, just open the door & hit the switch at night. This was actually suggested earlier on another thread on the Lance Forum, (so I can't take the credit for this great idea).
Other than this we Love our new Lance & am actually impressed by most everything. I have had to take off a couple of the steel catches on the doors & slightly grind on them, to make the cabinet doors shut better. No big deal as far as I was concerned, these things are mass produced, & I'm surprised that they all don't have more problems than they do.

No real modifications necessary as far as I can tell.
