As for the mattress, I ordered my camper with the mattress deleted. I then just used one of the Queen mattresses from my home.
Yes, the LED lights can be bright but using lower Lumen ones makes a big difference. But then some would have issues the lights are not bright enough. I prefer using a task light, for reading and background light. I like using the fume hood LED light for a light just to have on. But from watching others turn on every light in their home and then bring that habit camping too, I understand why that could be an issue for some.
Personally I enjoy doing more of these things myself so as not to increase the price of my truck camper. As more manufacturers begin supplying some of these optional and vanity items it only increases the unit cost. Just it once was common to order a car without a radio or air-conditioner as the radio would save $40 in the delete.
