I read several years ago, a member hit a deer about 9am in the morning.
Said it did about $5000 damage.
After getting the pickup below, I settled for the Ranchhand with bumper/grille guard.
There is an reinforcing tab welded between the tubing around the headlights and bumper on each end/side.
I like to think that tab will help if there is a deer hit about the headlight area.
Haven't tested it, yet.....
It does provide a nice place to stand while servicing the pickup.
Also, the guy I bought it from said it may not prevent damage from a deer hit. But, hopefully you should be able to drive the vehicle.
All bets are off with a elk.....
