I was right next door to JumboJet this past weekend and I used all the facilities in our NL. We showered in it and used the potty. I did fill my fresh tank before the cold hit us. We stayed warm and toasty and set the furnace at 64 over night. Like bka I also have a remote sensor in my dump valve area and one under the wing on the outside just for outside temps. My dump area never went below 40*. Even though my camper has LEDs the one in the holding tank area is an incandescent so I left it on for some heat. After using the heat on Wednesday through Friday I checked my propane and my selector showed it was changing from green to red so I had my tank filled. When I took it out and didn't feel like it was empty but had it filled anyway. It took less than 2 gallons to fill it and it was full when we left home.
I had cut out a 1/2" of foam board and placed in the door to my dump area also the outside shower and the hole where the power cable runs out. I did have an electric heater with us also that I messed with on Friday and I could run the temp up to 78* in the camper just using it and a small fan running to force warm air into the basement and I raised the temp in the dump area a couple of degrees. When we got ready to leave I did have some trouble with my fresh water drain that is in the valve area and had to use a hair dryer to get it to operate. A little warm air and it worked great. I'm going to have to work on it to see what I can do to protect it a little better as it basically sets on a metal plate in the valve area not good.
