Before we ever camped in the cold, I removed my stove and other items for access to install the higher R value and more expensive tube type foam pipe insulation on every inch of our TC plumbing water supply system. I also fitted and installed additional 3/4" foam board to the walls under the cabinets and tape sealed everything with heavy aluminum tape. I also fitted and attached 1" pink foam board insulation to the TC tub sides and to the underside of where the TC extends out over the truck bed sides. The TC also sits on a 5/4" wood lift frame laid flat in the truck bed with 1" pink foam board throughout the center area about 30 sqft. This additional insulation makes a noticeable difference on how warm the TC stays during our winter trips.
To heat the basement, you have to run the TC furnace or have a fan blowing otherwise heated air into the basement and holding tank area.
We run the heat to keep the TC at least 65 inside when we are in there. 60 when just the cat as he will crawl up under the blankets and stay warm as toast up there on the bed. The windows act as water condensers so expect to towel those off regularly. Otherwise, we don't get much other condensation. If you are going to boil a pot of water or cook, use the range hood to get rid of that moisture.
