Chemical reactions happen easier at higher temperatures. I'm sure PNW winters in the 30's and summers in the 70's help reduce chemical breakdown. I know you can find original paint and interior vehicles here much more than places with greater temperature extremes if the moss and mold does not get to them. This is common even on daily drivers.
