Until we demand some form of Congressional term limits we are at the mercy of policy makers that too often do not have our best interest in mind.
We've had term limits in Michigan for 25 years, and the legislature is much worse for it, not better. Be careful what you wish for.
I hear you LOL. But our government is not very responsive to the populous. Part of the problem is voter apathy.
Part of it is corporate sponsorship. But a large part of it is the lack of term limits. I think all politicians start out looking to genuinely make a difference. But 10-15 years later they no longer respond to the people and have enough corporate connections and donations that they no longer need to respond to the people.
