Diesel gas?
Do you wear gloves when gassing up? My hubby think he read somewhere that diesel stains (worse than gas). About time for our first fill up. Thanks!

Regarding Oregon. Google ''why can't I pump my own gas in Oregon''
Interesting reading. Since 1951 or so.
There have been a couple times where lawmakers have created a bill to do away with it. But it never gains enough traction.
Regarding Diesel in Oregon. Most places I've been to don't mind you pumping your own diesel and will actually ask if you've ''got it?'' if you start the process yourself.
Actually when it's raining 7 months a year it is nice to just sit in the truck:)

I'll let someone else deal with it. It's no cheaper to do it myself. Although most of the time it would be faster if I did it. Problem is not all pumps are the same. Last time I got diesel the guy next to me jumped out and started to do his own. He had a hard time figuring out what to do at the pump. The station attendant had to guide him thru. I guess living here all my life and having someone else pump your gas you just get used to it.
What's really interesting is my wife and I rode MC's for 12+ years and we always pumped our own gas. In Oregon the station attendant started the pump and handed the nozzle to us. We filled our own tank. If he wasn't around I just returned the nozzle and hit the YES button for a receipt. I don't get how you can fill your MC but not a car. Not one gas station wanted anything to do with filling some guys MC. They were all afraid they might spill gas on the bike.
1/2 the time the asked if we wanted to do it, the other 1/2 they just handed the nozzle to us. Crazy.
Motorcycles have an exception. Nobody wants to dispense gas onto another guy's lap.

I'm currious to know just what catastrophe the "general public can't pump gas" law avoids. Are fuel station attendants required to graduate from a 4 year gas pump school to become proficient?
One too many of these happen: ?
gas fight
Sorry for the music, I advise muting...

No gloves, no paper towels, no hand wipes.....bare handed just like I do when dumping waste tanks and putting the hoses/fittings away.
Wipe your steering wheel and see what you get.
