Like I said at the begining I will probably get another diesel but it just seems to me that since I bought my first one in 2006 that the price of diesel has always been higher that gas.
I also agree with all the positive things said about diesels.
I have used dyed diesel in my John Deere tractor for years and it works fine but would never put it in a truck I drive on the road.
I have never hauled a truck camper with anything other than a diesel, so its hard for me to compare, but for those of you who have I truly enjoy hearing your opinions.
I drove a lot of mountains in Nova Scotia and Alaska and yes the diesel worked very well compared to some trucks I saw.
I don't put a lot of miles on my trucks except when I am hauling my truck camper. I drive a little car a lot.
So it looks like the extra cost of the diesel can be balanced out by the extra's you get from driving a diesel.
But I must say I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the extra cost of the DEF yet or the fact that putting it in is just a pain in the butt.
Thanks for all your replies and I welcome all your opinions.
