I am one of those guys that tends to drive vehicles until the wheels fall off.
Why? Because I cannot afford to buy a new car or truck every 5-6 years. I make one purchase and maintain it and keep driving it until too many things keep wearing out or it gets hard to find parts. My 2001 Volvo xc70 was 39k new, it now has 241,000 miles on it and looks and runs well. My 2003 F350 was 49K new, it has some body dings but the drivetrain is solid and it has 120,000 miles on it. Both were paid off early (by year 3)I like not having a monthly car payment. Same goes for my TC, It's a 2008 Lance 1055, its paid for and I see no reason to get anything different as long as I maintain it and it doesn't leak or rot.
