Diesel Question for truck campers

I've been casually looking at used trucks for heavy TC use and at least around here, good luck finding a 1-ton DRW CC LB with a gas engine from any brand. The only gassers are typically 3/4 ton or at most SRW 1-ton. Even new, it's very hard finding a DRW gasser on any dealer lot -- it's a special order item only.

This lack of supply seems to be driving up prices for used gassers. The higher price at the pump for diesel is probably responsible for this. The few that I have seen are priced very close to what the same truck in diesel is going for. Once I get serious about buying, I'll probably have to special order.
