Perhaps someone with one of the rare Ford F350 or F450 dully pickups with a V10 in it will chime in with how it does with loads, up long grades, and maybe include how well it does at higher altitudes?
I drive an 08 F450 V10 dually at work. Got the truck new and just hit 100,000 miles. It has a bin package and double knuckle utility boom on it and I weigh in about 12-13k lbs.
I haven't done high altitudes really, but it scoots me around real nice. I can climb good hills on the freeway and pass people going under 60 daily going up them, not sure the grade. It is snappy at red lights and is nice and quiet.
I would never buy one because I average 5-6 MPG mixed driving and some idling. Glad i'm not the one throwing in $200 a week in fuel. Great engine if fuel cost is not important.
